INNERBELT BRIDGE | $95
CLEVELAND: THE CITY OF BRIDGES. The Innerbelt Bridge is a truss bridge carrying Interstate 90 over the Cuyahoga River. When it was completed in 1959, it was the widest bridge in the state of Ohio. Currently deteriorating, the Ohio Department of Transportation will begin work on a new structure in 2011 which will replace the existing Innerbelt Bridge by 2017. The natural blue hues of the bridge are amped up to create an interesting gradient, juxtaposed with the cityscape, the river bed, & the Nickel Plate Railroad Bridge in the background.

ABOUT THE COLLECTION
Throughout its rich history as a bustling rust belt city, the need for bridges to cross the Cuyahoga River in order to connect with the rest of the nation resulted in over 330 bridges in the immediate Cleveland area. Original photography & graphic art collide with the collection Bridges, featuring five of the most important & aesthetically interesting bridges that remain in operation today; including swing, lift, railroad, & truss bridges. Each piece highlights one of these landmark bridges, amped up in color & contrasted against its surroundings, which are simplified to neutral black & white sketches. Printed on canvas & stretched over a wood frame, this collection eliminates the need for traditional framing because the image wraps completely around all edges (but they come in the frame-friendly size of 11"x14" just in case).
